Haunted Porto

To find a completely different Porto, in a night tour were history and it´s ghosts are reveled to the tourists is the challenge sent to everybody who wants to know something else, and something different about Porto, north of Portugal and a little bit about the country.

ML Private Tours started in 2010, and the main objective was to develop premium experiences in wine tourism, mainly in Porto and Douro. Miguel Leal is the founder, and started this with company with his previous experience as his best value.

“I started organizing off-road competition, what gave me a large experience in dealing with people, and very good knowledge of Portuguese countryside. I am a wine lover, and I have a enology, degree. So it was just a matter of putting together both experiences, and start working.”

Later in 2014, ML Private Tours sponsored a Halloween event in Porto, and so it was the beginning of “Haunted Porto”.

“In ML – Private Tours we needed a winter event. We decided to sponsor this Halloween event and it was a success. So now we take tourists to the most haunted places, and historic places, at Porto and around the town. Its scary…”

Every Haunted Porto starts downtown Porto, and immediately ghost stories are told. A haunted hotel, the medieval story of a queen who lost her head, a church that was an ancient sanctuary and has a satanic tradition.

After that its dinner time, with traditional food and wine, and well fed it´s time to go back to the road and visit a magic hill, and have the stronger experience at the most haunted site in the region.
