BIG5 starts at Dubai with PortugalBuildingHardware
Monday, December the 5th, 2022
The Portuguese association for the two weeled, hardware, furniture and similars sectors, ABIMOTA , together with four companies from the hardware sector, will participate in BIG5, one of the world's largest fairs dedicated to the civil construction sector, which starts today, the 5th, and ends on December the 8th.
This trip includes two distinct actions: Abimota Portugal Fest - Dubai 2022, co-financed by Compete 2020 and the Prospection Mission to Dubai 2022, within the scope of the joint internationalization project, co-financed by Portugal 2020. The first one aims to publicize and support the internationalization of the Portuguese hardware sector, with the signature PortugalBuildingHardware. The second one supports the contact between Portuguese companies and the international market players.
Dubai World Trade Center will be the global capital for civil construction over the next four days and that is why ABIMOTA choses this event, with great visibility in the sector, for this participation with two intervention areas.
ABIMOTA PORTUGAL FEST
ABIMOTA's trip takes place as part of the ABIMOTA Portugal Fest program, co-financed by COMPETE and Portugal 2020.
PortugalBuildingHardware is the shared image which brings together and represents Portuguese companies in the hardware sector and under this brand, the participation in BIG5 will take place. This is one of the events with the greatest worldwide visibility for the civil construction sector, and takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
“When we drew up the action plan for PortugalBuildingHardware, we looked for international events that had the greatest visibility, business oportunities, but also that had a profile of participants, that fits best with the offer of the Portuguese hardware sector industries. Thus, at BIG5, we find not only one of the most expressive fairs globally, but also an event that is at the epicenter of luxury and super luxury construction and Portuguese industries have very high quality solutions to respond to these needs.” Explains Gil Nadais, General Secretary of ABIMOTA.
The Portuguese hardware sector is thus looking for new opportunities, drawing on the experience that ABIMOTA, representative of the two-wheel sector, but also hardware and furniture, has with other internationalization programs such as Portugal Bike Value .
“I think that one of the most important lessons we learned from the implementation of Portugal Bike Value is the fact that the joint participation of the main players of a sector in international events allows for much greater visibility, with less effort. In this way, we can present, for example, integrated solutions that increase the competitiveness of the entire chain.” Said the Secretary General of the association that represents the portuguese hardware sector.
